KETO BISCUITS AND GRAVY

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond  flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella  cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt Cheeses: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave for about 30 seconds, stir, then heat for another 30 seconds until melted and smooth.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the melted cheese mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  5. Shape Biscuits: Using your hands, form the dough into 8 small biscuits and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.

Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (look for a low-carb brand)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled.
  2. Add Cream and Broth: Reduce heat to low, then add the heavy cream and broth. Stir well.
  3. Season: Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for about 5-10 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  4. Serve: Split the biscuits in half and pour the sausage gravy over the top. Garnish with parsley if desired.
